ELTA Live: Diffusion of Innovation (in Law Firms / Law Departments)
28 March @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
While we all now have an idea of innovation in the legal profession, we see innovative solutions being deployed at very different speed. Early movers offer services designed along UX paths, leveraging technology and cutting out WOMBAT processes (WOMBAT= Waste Of Money, Brain And Time) while others still test, explore or even discuss. Alternative Legal Service Providers (ALSP) are by definition more innovative than incumbent law firms and in–house departments, so how does innovation gain ground in the latter? With Bill Henderson, Professor at the Maurer School of Law, Indiana University, founder of Lawyer Metrics and the Forum on Legal Evolution and “The most influential person in legal education” as seen by the National Jurist, we will discuss the “Diffusion of Innovation in Law Firms” and get to the nuts and bolts of transforming a law firm’s business mode, its mindset and the service design of the future. The webinar will be moderated by Hariolf Wenzler, legal innovator at Baker McKenzie and ELTA’s founding president.
